Building Up Congregations.Financing an expansion or remodeling project is one of the greatest challenges a congregation or church organization faces.Church Extension is able to help meet the challenge by offering loans to qualified Disciples congregations.
A General Consultation with a Church Extension Consultant is required prior to submitting a loan
application except when loan amounts are modest. During a General Consultation, borrowing capacities, interest rates, availability of funds, maturities, payment schedules and other loan terms are determined. General Consultations are made without charge to the congregation or organization visited.
Limited financing is available only to qualifying congregations and regions that are listed in the Year Book and Directory of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Interest free loans are available for new church sites, first units, certain minority situations, natural disaster emergencies, certain off-continent situations and intentionally integrated congregations.
Accessibility Loans are low-interest loans made to congregations renovating facilities to remove barriers for people with disabilities. Accessibility Loans are funded through gifts made to the various Accessibility Funds. Limited low-interest financing is available only to qualifying congregations and regions that are listed in the Year Book and Directory of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
